Take Part in the 2018 Food `n Fun Challenge!

Help Stomp out Hunger in our community and participate in the Community Assistance Center’s Food `n Fun Challenge, a community-wide food drive competition to help feed local families in the summer. CAC gives food to about 500 families a month seeking assistance. Requests for food increase in the summer but donations typically decrease. How to participate in the Food `n Fun Challenge:

  • Hold your team’s food drive food between March and April.
  • Teams may participate in a Sorting Service Day at CAC following their food drive.
  • Awards will be given to organizations/businesses/schools for the most food collected.

Click here for more details on how to participate!

In 2017, 34 groups that took the challenge and collected 40,000 pounds of food! Plus sponsors contributed $22,560  for food! The Challenge stocked the CAC Food Pantry to provide for families in need for the summer. CAC distributes 30,000 pounds of food  a month which serves 500 families or about 1,200 visits a month to the pantry.

Winners of the 2017 Food `n Fun Challenge were announced at the Food `n Fun Celebration on Saturday, May 6. View the Food `n Fun photo gallery!
