2017 Food `n Fun Challenge and Celebration Photo Gallery!
CAC’s Food `n Fun Challenge is back! Enter a team from your business, school, neighborhood, civic group or club to collect food for CAC! Food drives must be complete by April 21, 2017. Groups are encouraged to schedule a “Food Sorting Service Day” at CAC. Contest participants and winners will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Also seeking Food `n Fun sponsors to support the event and CAC Food Pantry.

Fifth graders at St. Jude Catholic School took the Challenge and organized a food drive.

The CAC Food Challenge is an effort to eliminate child hunger in our community in the summer months. The local child poverty rate is as high as 29 percent and as many as 80 percent of CAC clients say they miss one meal every day to make ends meet. During the summer months, families face additional financial stress as food costs increase when children aren’t receiving free lunches at school. Meanwhile, food pantry donations decline during the summer months while supporters focus on vacation plans

Please help  “Stomp out Hunger” as a team participant or sponsor of CAC’s Food ‘n Fun Challenge. Participation creates awareness of hunger issues in our local community and raises food and funds for CAC’s food pantry program which enhances the quality of life for everyone CAC serves.

For Food Challenge and Sponsorship information please contact Pam Jones at development@ourcac.org or call (404) 668-0420.

How to Take Part in the Challenge!
Take the Challenge, the largest community-wide food drive to ever take place in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody!  Help CAC reach its goal of collecting 100,000 pounds of food to feed local families this summer! The food drive is critical to aiding local families in the summer when the need is greatest and food pantry inventory is at its lowest level of the year. Make it fun! Challenge your rival schools, businesses, congregations, organizations or groups to collect the most food! Use social media, posts, videos and tweets to challenge! Consider creating a food drive theme such as “Eat Your Veggies”! CAC will deliver food barrels while quantities last and will arrange for pick up of food. Teams that collect the most food win awards by categories! To get a food barrel contact Pam Jones at development@ourcac.org or call (404) 668-0420.

NOW: Schedule your food drive now!
Challenge: Challenge your rivals to see who can collect more food!
