Small Donations Make Big Impact on Families
For Tracy and her family, CAC meant not having to choose between living without utilities or being evicted. Their electricity had been turned off and their gas was about to be turned off. Tracy had a job but her hours were reduced. CAC helped the family get their power turned back on and contributed funds toward rent. The family of three was also given food and clothing vouchers monthly which allowed them to use their cash to pay bills.
Five months later, the family was still in their home and living on a tight budget. The CAC Adopt-a-Family program helped them again by providing holiday gifts for their young child, something they otherwise wouldn’t have had. Tracy’s family is grateful to CAC supporters who helped her family and others like hers stay in their homes through an unexpected financial crisis.
“Thank you for all that you have done to help my family, and all the families that you help, and for those who volunteer and donate, you have no idea how valuable that is. The volunteers serve with such kind hearts. We appreciate you all so much! May the blessings return to you ten-fold.” ~ Tracy
