Individual Volunteer Opportunities

vol-individWe have volunteer opportunities in all areas of the center. Volunteers staff the food pantry, the Thrift Boutique, the reception desk and serve as client interviewers. Volunteers for these areas are most needed Monday - Friday, 10 am - 2 pm and would ideally be able to work on a re-occurring basis such as once a week.

Individual volunteer opportunities also exist behind the scenes to perform duties such as calling clients, retrieving phone messages from clients, data entry, sorting donations, and food pick-up drivers. Day and evening hours can be accommodated.

Throughout the year we seek volunteers to work on seasonal programs such as the school supply drive and Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays.

Volunteer teachers are needed to teach adult education classes in the evenings such as English for Successful Living, Citizenship Preparation and courses in computer skills.

CAC also accepts volunteers seeking to serve community service hours, whether for school, civic organization requirements or court ordered. To inquire about court-order community service opportunities contact Janice Haddock at (770) 552-4889 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
