The Adult Education program at CAC enrolls about 300 students a year. The program focuses on teaching life skills and enhancing job skills so clients can be more successful in their everyday lives and become more marketable for better paying jobs. Classes are free and open to clients and the general public, space permitting.
We offer life skill classes such as personal money management, English for Successful Living (ESL) and Citizenship Preparation. Job skill courses include interview skills, Intro to Computers, Excel and QuickBooks.
All of our classes are taught by volunteers. Many of our volunteers are busy professionals who give their time in the evenings to help others get ahead in life. Some of our volunteers are former students who gained employment as a result of taking classes at CAC and came back to teach others in need.
