Donors Help Many During Holidays

Post: 30 December 2015 in: Featured News

Thank you for being a community that Cares and Shares! Donors once agaiin made the CAC Holiday Program a success, giving gifts to children and food to families for the holidays.

About 300 donors, including businesses, congregations, families and individuals adopted 1,282 children for holiday gifts through the 2015 Adopt-a-Family program! Special thanks to Rivercliff Lutheran Church, North Atlanta Church of Christ, Sandy Springs Rotary and all donors and volunteers for making CAC Adopt-a-Family program the most successful yet! The CAC Adopt-a-Family program helps local families in need by giving children holidays gifts that they requested on their wish lists. Adopt-a-Family enrolls local families who have received assistance from CAC during the current year.

In addition to providing holiday gifts to children, CAC donors and volunteers provided more than 500 holiday food boxes to local families in November and December! Special thanks to the Shumard Foundation for donating the food and gathering friends and family to pack the boxes. Volunteers helped distribute the boxes to families along with grocery store gifts cards. The food and gift cards were provided to families who have experienced financial difficulties and received assistance from CAC during the current year.. Thanks to North Springs United Methodist for their assistance with the holiday food distribution!
