Mercedes-Benz USA to Host CAC’s Vintage Affair Benefit
The Community Assistance Center announces the 17th annual Vintage Affair, a Moonlight Masquerade, will be held at Mercedes-Benz USA in the elegant atrium space of their new headquarters in Sandy Springs! This year’s benefit gala will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
CAC is grateful to have Mercedes-Benz USA as the host and Presenting Sponsor for this year’s Vintage Affair. Since Mercedes-Benz USA moved its headquarters to Georgia in 2015, the company has become a leading community partner of CAC. Mercedes-Benz USA began its commitment in 2015 by assisting CAC in meeting its transportation needs for community outreach and has continued to demonstrate its commitment through engaging in CAC programs, sponsorships, and volunteerism.
“We love being here in Sandy Springs and we are grateful for the opportunity to help those in the community who need a hand through our involvement with CAC and support of their outreach,” said Donna Boland, Manager, Corporate Communications, Mercedes-Benz USA.
Vintage Affair is the largest annual fundraiser for CAC which works to prevent homelessness and hunger and to promote self-sufficiency in the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities. With this year’s theme of Moonlight Masquerade, guests will enjoy a fun filled evening complete with special mystery guests, exciting live and silent auction items, small plate dining and complimentary wine and beer. The event raises more than $100,000 each year.
CAC is also pleased to announce the return of Cheryl Sykes as chairwoman of the 2019 Vintage Affair. Ms. Sykes formerly served two years as president of the CAC board of directors and twice chaired Vintage Affair. The event planning committee is made of 24 volunteers from the community giving their time and talent.
“I am honored to once again give back through CAC because it truly embodies what it means to be a community where neighbors help neighbors in need,” said Ms. Sykes. “We are all thrilled that Mercedes-Benz USA will be the host and Presenting Sponsor for Vintage Affair this year and we have quite an exciting evening planned for our guests.”
Since its founding, CAC has helped more than 20,000 neighbors during their times of need. At CAC, families and individuals are treated with respect and find hope for brighter days ahead. CAC is supported by 28 congregations of all faiths, public and private grants, civic organizations, schools, businesses and individuals. Supporters provide financial resources, in-kind donations and volunteer manpower.
