CAC is pleased to receive a $20,000 grant from the Sandy Springs Society! Since 1997 the philanthropic group has given CAC $290,308 in grants to support the nonprofit’s mission of preventing homelessness, alleviating hunger and promoting self reliance.
Over the years grants from the Sandy Springs Society have directly supported homeless prevention by funding rent and utilities for individuals and families who had nowhere else to turn for help in order to stay in their homes. In more recent years the Society has awarded CAC larger grants for equipment and technology such as refrigerators and phone systems.
The 2019 grant focuses on program expansion with funds for equipment upgrades of refrigerators, computers, software and more. The enhancements will allow CAC to serve more people in need and spend more time on assisting clients on their journeys to self-sufficiency.
The award is part of the Society’s annual grant program, this year in 2019 they awarded $231,750 to 26 charities that serve the Sandy Springs community.
