How You Can Help Your Neighbors Impacted by the Coronavirus
In response to the coronavirus outbreak CAC’s priority is to serve families and individuals who have been hit the hardest by losing income needed to sustain their families. CAC is concentrating efforts on providing food to families that need support and providing financial assistance to make sure that they stay in their homes.

CAC needs volunteers to receive, process, pack and distribute food. We are looking for adults, particularly college and high school students (with a drivers license) to work in place of our older volunteers who have a higher risk of contracting the virus. Therefore, no volunteers over age 60, no kids under the age of 17 and no one who has recently visited a country or area of the U.S. that has experienced a widespread outbreak of the virus. Sign Up to Volunteer in the Food Pantry!
Organize an Online Group Funding Drive for CAC!
Organizations in our community are leading efforts to help local area families who are most vulnerable during the coronavirus outbreak by organizing Online Group Funding Drives. Already some people have lost their means of earning a living and are at risk of losing their homes. By working with CAC, which serves Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and a part of Doraville, WE CAN ALL HELP!
Congregations, Neighborhoods, Civic Organizations and Businesses are invited to join their peers and offer their members and employees an opportunity help through a custom Online Group Funding Drive for CAC! Funds will be used to prevent homelessness and provide food to our neighbors who hit hardest by the coronavirus outbreak. This method of giving offers everyone an opportunity to help while also reducing the number of human interactions as we do our part to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
To get your organization involved please contact Pam Jones at email@example.com
Preventative Measures to Prevent Spread of the Coronoavirus
CAC is following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Georgia Department of Public Health guidelines to keep volunteers, staff and clients safe at CAC facilities and taking these measures:
- Routinely cleaning all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace.
- Providing cleaning products so that commonly used surfaces can be wiped down by workers before each use.
- Limiting face-to-face contact by closing CAC facilities to the general public and distributing food at the doors.
- Not allowing people who have traveled to affected areas of the world to volunteer at this time.
- Not allowing sick people to volunteer.
- Sending sick people home.
- Protecting seniors and people at risk by not allowing them to volunteer at this time.
