CAC Annual Report
CAC continues to improve the lives of neighbors in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.
As we look back at 2021, we celebrate the positive changes that CAC has created in our community. From maintaining high standards of fiscal responsibility to carrying out renovations funded by our capital campaign, we’re in a great position to continue helping our neighbors. CAC is a cornerstone of the human services network in the northern Perimeter area.
CAC plays a vital role in the cities of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody by preventing hunger and homelessness, providing assistance for basic needs such as utilities, food and clothing, and actively engaging clients to work towards greater self-sufficiency through adult education and career counseling efforts.

CAC has experience when it comes to making every dollar count, and we’ve got some tips to help you use your dollars wisely to take care of yourself and your family.
CAC Career Center and Goodwill Combat Cost of Living
The Community Assistance Center (CAC) and Goodwill of North Georgia have joined forces to provide jobseekers in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody with expanded career services offerings. Additional opportunities will include connecting job seekers to high demand careers through job training and credential attainment through Goodwill.
CAC Earns Coveted 4-star Rating from Charity Navigator
The Community Assistance Center’s strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator.
This place is spectacular. The food is high quality, and they even have food for people with special needs, like Diabetes. I received vitamins for my son. The staff is very polite. The discount store that has furniture and clothes should be visited, the clothes are in good condition. Furniture etc. It is a blessing that Sandy springs has this community outreach center.

I have nothing but “GREAT” things to say and share about this nonprofit organization. When you’re at your lowest, the help, compassion and kindness that I received was a blessing! I am the one who normally donated to CAC. However, I fell on bad times and they treated me as a human, not a vagrant! EVERYONE from those in the financial office, food bank, and clothing facility was absolutely phenomenal! I sincerely thank you ALL! I wish more people would give to this non-profit organization! THEY ARE SO WORTHY OF BEING BLESSED ABUNDANTLY, FOR HOW THEY TREAT AND HELP PEOPLE! Thank you kindly.
