Get Help – Eligibility
CAC provides emergency assistance to residents of Sandy Springs, Dunwoody and the part of Doraville served by Dunwoody schools. Assistance of food, clothing and emergency financial assistance are available to those who qualify.
To qualify families must live within the CAC service area in these zip code areas:
30327 – 30328 – 30342 – 30350 – 30338 – 30346 – 30360
Applicants seeking assistance must make an appointment, call the Helpline (770) 552-4015 and leave a message with your contact information or submit a Request for Assistance Form. The following documents must be provided:
- Identification
Social Security card or picture ID - Proof of Residency
Copy of current apartment lease or mortgage
Adults not named on the lease must provide proof of address - Documentation for all Residents Living at a Given Address
Social Security cards or picture IDs or for children, proof of school enrollment or birth certificate - Proof of Income
May be provided by a pay stub, IRS tax documentation, or AFDC/Food stamp letter
Applicants seeking Emergency Financial Assistance must provide all of the above plus the following:
- Proof of Loss of Income or Financial Need
For example, separation notice, medical bills or payment receipts, etc. Client’s name must appear on the bill being submitted for documentation -
Financial Assistance will ONLY be considered for clients who have not already received financial assistance from CAC in 2020.
