CAC Cares for Kids
CAC gives children the support they need
Through a variety of youth programs, CAC ensures every child in a client family has the essentials they need to thrive year-round. To participate, families must be current CAC clients. Some programs require separate registration or documentation in addition to CAC enrollment.
MEALS FOR KIDS
During summer break, CAC provides school-aged children with free, easy-to-prepare meals each week to help fill the gap left by school breakfasts and lunches.
Meals are distributed at CAC Mini-Market locations, as assigned by the program manager. Each child receives a weekly supply of simple, nutritious foods. If you are a current CAC client, no additional documentation is required to participate.

TOOLS FOR SCHOOL
CAC helps students start the school year strong by providing brand-new backpacks filled with grade-appropriate supplies like notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, and more.
Available to CAC client families with children enrolled in Dunwoody or Sandy Springs schools. Proof of enrollment is required. Supplies are limited and early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.

COATS FOR KIDS
In partnership with the Knights of Columbus, CAC provides free, new coats to children each fall. The program serves children from birth through age 18 in CAC client families living in Dunwoody or Sandy Springs.
Coats are limited and distributed as available. Size availability is not guaranteed. Once full, registrations may be placed on a waitlist at the coordinator’s discretion. Updated documents may be required.

HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Each holiday season, CAC supports families with food and gifts to help make the season brighter. Children ages 0–18 can be registered to receive special holiday gifts provided by generous community sponsors.
Holiday food boxes are distributed in November and December to support seasonal meals. Gift registration is required, but food is available to all current CAC clients without the need to sign up.
